sensual meditation through breathing

PRANA greatly aids individuals who want to establish a meditation practice, offering guidance and a way to measure the success of a meditation session. PRANA supports the user by measuring the frequency and intensity of inhaling and exhaling with a small wearable necklace. This data is actively send to an unit holding two incense sticks. The resulting difference between inhaling + pause and exhaling is sensually visualized through the length of the incense sticks. An ideal and effecitve meditation session results with the two incense sticks burned down equally.

WINNER STATEMENT

I feel deeply honored to receive this Award! Design as a concept to explore broader meaning and deeper human connection within existing technology, was the core motivation for this project - a true delight to be recognized for this effort.
