An ultra-compact proton cancer therapy system by B dot Medical (founded by researchers at the Japan’s National Institute of Radiological Sciences(NIRS)) brings the power of proton therapy within reach. By maintaining high performance but significantly reducing the system’s footprint, we enabled proton therapy use in many hospitals that previously faced spatial limitations. We have succeeded in bringing a compact proton therapy system by developing a completely new structure. Furthermore, an innovative beam delivery system provides high irradiation performance, and our treatment flow that enable efficient with less burden on the medical staff.
