Light Rail Vehicle (LRV)

Siemens Mobility GmbH

Qatar Foundation has commissioned Siemens to supply 19 battery-powered Avenio trams for its innovative catenary-free tram project. They are designed to achieve new standards for sustainable urban transport, are customized to local conditions and traveler needs, and aim to complement Qatar Foundation’s Education City campus. The exterior comprises straight lines and dark windows set against pristine white shapes. Sunshades and dark thermic glass offer travelers a comfortable ride. The interiors are designed to create a light and spacious experience. Subtly-styled seat fabrics and well-detailed stanchions are further examples of the high design quality.
