Radwende

Installation

Scholz & Volkmer GmbH

The Radwende campaign makes cyclists visible and therefore influences the cityscape. The principle is simple: we record the routes taken by individual cyclists using an app and bring them together on a map, which serves as a basis for planning the biking infrastructure and as an instrument for lobbyists. The art installation in the museum transfers digital taken lanes into an analog artwork. It draws the routes of cyclists and in this way produces a new artwork every day. The art installation makes bicycle traffic in Wiesbaden attractive and generates enthusiasm for biking and climate protection, not only among "green activists".
