The Raw Edge Bench addresses local marble industry sustainability by reintegrating the underutilized green serpentine into interior design, historically prized for upscale residential flooring in eastern Taiwan but facing reduced use compared to imported alternatives. Upon visiting a manufacturing facility, we recognized the potential for repurposing discarded pieces from slab cutting and developed an energy-efficient process, showcasing the inherent beauty of the green serpentine through a precision-demanding 45° bevel on the edges.
