Re-Pulp Shoes
Shoes
In Africa, there are many children who do not own shoes and are plagued by the chigoe flea. Chigoe fleas are parasitic insects that can enter the human body and even threaten a person’s life, with the death rate being as high as 60%. Re-Pulp Shoes recycle used paper boxes and turn them into paper pulp through a simple processing technique using water. The pulp is then put through Re-Pulp Shoes molds to produce thousands of recycled shoes. This invention means that soon every child will have a pair of shoes, putting an end to the problem of the chigoe flea.
