Children’s tableware

The Rebel forms are entirely based on the child’s way of moving. The Rebel set consists of a mug, a plate, and a spoon. The plate is designed as a kind of bowl within a bowl, the edge of the plate being concave, thus easily catching spilt food. The concave edge recurs in the handle of both spoon and mug, creating a coherent expression, and at the same time giving the handles a shape which is easy to grasp for small hands. The handle makes it easy to keep the mug stable. The mug’s top is rounded, making it easy to drink, while its bottom is larger, guaranteeing steady foothold. The plate and mug are made of porcelain. The plate has a rubber foundation, which keeps it safe on the table. The spoon is made of stainless steel. “The lines are continuous and have no closing. They are meant to express a kind of confidence and harmony for the child,” explains Johan Verde.
