Modular Shelter

The "Rebirth SeedPod" is an emergency shelter developed for the Turkish earthquake, which created a high demand for refugee accommodation. Our shelter incorporates origami engineering to reduce its volume, allowing for mass transport, and quick on-site assembly to establish a temporary emergency housing community within a short period of time.

JURY STATEMENT

A very nice design. The elements are all well balanced: the need for sheltering, choice of materials and above all the form which follows function! Good design, bravo!

WINNER STATEMENT

Winning the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD is a great honor. Living in Taiwan, we understand the challenges of living in an earthquake-prone region. This recognition validates our design and acknowledges our empathy for disaster-affected individuals.
