Rescuing Trafficking Victims
Rescue Foundation is an organization that works towards freeing victims of Human trafficking, primarily who are victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation. Established in the year 2000 by the Late Mr Balkrishna Acharya who passed away in 2005, Mrs Triveni Acharya, took over the reigns and since then has rescued over 5000 girls. After rescuing them, they are then moved for rehabilitation in one of four shelter homes. Rehabilitation begins with healthcare and Psycho social counselling, followed by multiple forms of vocational training and education in multiple subjects. After rehabilitation the girls are repatriated to their homes and families.
