Restoration of Hsinchu police commissioner residence

Historical building restoration

The Hsinchu police commissioner's residence was built between 1917 and 1921 and is a municipal historic site; it is one of Hsinchu's rare high official residences. The historical complex that was once about to disappear has reemerged as an architectural monument after a long period of research and restoration. The original structure was retained, and the project was carried out using traditional construction methods. It is now a cultural and creative exhibition space that offers the public insights into Hsinchu culture and brings to life the beauty of a century-old site.
