RFID for Circular Fashion: RFID from Tag to Yarn

Smart textile

Taiwan Textile Research Institute

This Radio Frequency Identification is specially designed for the textile and fashion industry. We have developed a RFID tag that can be attached to yarn. The RFID yarn contains data on the entire production process. It is part of the fabric and can be woven into any part of the textile. When the consumer receives the clothing item, they can have access to information such as the brand's transparency or how to take care of this item. When the fabric is recycled, the recycler would have access to information such as the material classification for each clothing item and how to properly recycle them for reuse.
