RG0161ZCLE proves that natural materials, when combined with traditional art form (in this case lacquer painting), elevates conventional eyewear to a whole other level. Crafted from ethically sourced Asian buffalo horn, RG0161ZCLE showcases artfully shaved bevels that flow and ebb throughout the frame as a reference to fluid brush strokes of East Asian calligraphy, creating 3D refinement. The horn is coated in gossamer-thin tree bark-rice straw paper, and hand-painted in traditional lacquer technique, with careful drying, sanding, and smoothing between each layer for a matte finish that is one of a kind. This frame was made without plastic.
