The "Heart Zone" brings Roche Diagnostics employees together in an inspiring way. It is the answer to the desire for a common area for both production and administration employees and creates a communal hub that encourages encounter and furthers exchange. The different building parts and departments needed an anchor point in which the team could not only find each other, but also a sense of belonging and identity within the company. For this, a "house within a house" concept was developed, consisting of four wooden houses that create a cosy oasis of relaxation and community in the middle of a giant industrial production hall.
