Taiwan’s Romantic Route 3 Art Festival is a Hakka Landscape Art Festival that spans five counties, stringing together numerous Hakka villages and uniting over 150 kilometers of land rich with Hakka culture. Similar to the two points highlighted in the festival’s promotional videos, the goal is to bring people deep into the slow Hakka culture to be found along Provincial Highway 3 in two ways: the first is through a slowly-maturing love between you and the Provincial Highway 3; the second is the slowing of the mind you experience as you travel along that distinctive stretch of road.
