At German weddings, it is customary to wish the bride and groom luck by smashing porcelain. The noise, they say, drives away evil spirits. Rosenthal, the world’s leading manufacturer of fine tableware, was inspired by this tradition. They created an innovative designed voucher delivery method for tableware, everyone’s first choice of wedding gift: Rosenthal The Weddinglope. The first envelope made entirely from porcelain. What makes The Weddinglope design so special is that the wedding gift, a voucher for tableware, is sealed inside. To get to the voucher, you have to smash The Weddinglope.
