Textile tyre sock

The new RUD traction aid provides an excellent grip especially on black ice and slippery snow. The RUDmatic Soft Spike is a high-tech textile tyre sock, which can be fitted quickly and intuitively. Soft Spike combines the benefits of textiles and metal: its core element is the patented ferrofil®-fibre. The incorporation of robust metal wires in a double layer of fabric provides a large number of extra gripping surfaces. These effectively boost the tyre profile and increase traction. Like spikes, the metal wires dig into slippery surfaces such as ice, while the textile ensures that there are enough points of contact with the snow.
