Roller shutters and sunshades

s_onro® represents the first system that combines the functions of roller shutters and sunshades. Conventional roller shutters only have two functional positions: down (closed) and up (open). Employed as a sunshade, roller shutters darken the room so much that as a rule artificial lighting is required. Similarly, closed shutters block your view to the outside world. s_onro® combines shutters and sunshades by using special, vertically “locking” lamellae that when in an open position, have gaps that allow light to pass through. The lamellae block out the light entirely when closed. By pulling a certain number of lamellae apart when the shutter is closed, the user can regulate the exact amount of light. Even when the lamellae are in an open position, they prevent direct sunlight from entering whenever the sun is more than 23° above the horizon.
