The safety warning manhole cover takes up no space and also acts as a warning against accidents when the cover is not in place. This cover has been designed to create a safety barrier as soon as the cover is removed. A sensor is triggered and three highly visible barriers pop up to surround the opening at a height that prevents pedestrians and vehicles from accidentally falling or driving into the hole. The only way to retract the barrier is to replace the manhole cover.
