Sanitation for All including Sanitation Workers

WASH program

The Sanitation Workers in Chikkaballapura town provide basic sanitation services to the residents, but they themselves lack access to basic sanitation services. They lack access to drinking water, bathrooms and toilets, place to sit and dine. Their residential colonies lack access to toilets, solid and liquid waste management services. To mitigate these problems TIDE, BORDA and the Chikkaballapura Municipality has jointly constructed a Sanitation Workers Resting facility in the Municipality premises and they have implemented sanitation, solid and liquid waste management services in one of their residential colonies called Kandawara."
