Köln International School of Design Design

Barrier-free transport is the target of this concept. This castor is hubless. The axis is enlarged and suspended in the centre of the wheel. In case of a collision the castor absorbs the kinetic energy while hitting the obstacle. The castor does not stop. The whole transport has to be lifted over the obstacle. The locomotion keeps in flow, will not be interrupted and is shock absorbed as well.
