Scyllias

Semi-submersible boat

This is a graduation project of Pieter Dankers in collaboration with internship company Studio Delta in order to receive his Master of Science degree in Industrial Design Engineering. The objective was to design an innovative boat for leisure purposes. The Scyllias is a semi-submersible that provides an immersive underwater experience without the hassle. Since the Scyllias is carried by a luxury yacht it should also function as a tender (transport). Other benefits are that it is designed to go fast on water (diesel engines) and slow and quiet while being submerged (electric engines). This is an innovative hybrid concept, new in its kind.
