LCD monitor

SONY Corporation

The SDM-HS75P/HS95P models are LCD computer displays that were designed with ease of use and space-saving qualities in mind. Throwing out the usual “screen, stand, and pedestal” construction for computer monitors, the designer concentrated on completely eliminating the inherent formality that is usually a feature of this product class. The aim was to create a product with such style that users could casually set it down anywhere they pleased, like a photo frame decorating the living room. The unit was designed to create a line that segues almost seamlessly from the keyboard to the monitor, giving it a sense of coherence and dynamism. Further, the form is supported in three points, greatly enhancing the feeling of stability and improving ease of use. In addition, this construction allows the user to easily adjust the angle of tilt with one hand. At the rear of the unit, cables and connectors are hidden by a cover that can be easily removed.
