Making long days at a university campus also means you need moments of fresh air from time to time. To facilitate this VanBerlo developed unique outdoor seating, placed exclusively at Wageningen University Campus. In this rural-looking campus the seating had to fit within the environment. A total of 50 Seating stones was created out of desaturated colors of concrete. A brand new mold technique was used, combining a polyester mould with silicone inlay parts. The inlays were 15 types of oak leaves that could be varied in placement in every single casting. In this manner, every seating element is a 100% unique object.
