Medical device

seca GmbH & Co. KG

The seca mBCA 525 is a mobile device which allows physicians to precisely determine body fat, total body water, muscle mass and more in patients through bioelectric impedance analysis. It holds a detachable measuring unit, which was specifically developed to the requirements of supine measurements as performed on mostly immobile patients. The measuring unit takes the form of a narrow mat, which is placed across the body at knee level. Its design eases cable management and provides assistance in locating the correct electrode positions on the patient’s hands and feet. The idea of a „measuring mat“ is unprecedented within the specific context.
