SELENA was designed with a light, minimalist look in mind. It represents some of what we are trying to convey with these surfaces in innovative transitions that challenge the limits of traditional joinery. In-depth CNC machining techniques were essential in defining the shape of the chair, resulting in the softness of a sturdy and durable chair. The continuity of the natural straw enhances the minimalist effect, and the transparency of this material generates lightness in a monolithic volume. The chair is a tactile object, and understanding its complexity requires touch at every transition, fitting and surface.
