Seoul Daecheong creates a new kind of surface where citizens can visit to take a break and experience the city in new ways. A thin layer of moss garden is set on the inclined roof of the Seoul Hall of Urbanism & Architecture, and 126 low wooden beds are combined on it to form a homogeneously flat and porous surface. When standing on the daecheong, one can feel and experience the texture of wooden and metal materials, the moss garden that pleases the eye, and the sound of nature, such as insects, wind, and water, through speakers.
