Hanok Heritage Preservation Division Seoul Metropolitan Government
'Seoul Hanok' is a public brand created by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to showcase the city through Hanok, Korea's traditional architecture. Moving beyond historical significance, the brand positions Hanok as a 'house of today' integrating contemporary culture. The brand design balances traditional and modern aesthetics while maintaining public objectives. This is accomplished through three elements: 1) graceful curves inspired by traditional Hanok roof tiles, 2) modern typography that breaks free from conventional forms to add rhythm, and 3) a color palette that aligns with Seoul's city brand to strengthen their connection.
