Tea set

The Shanyue Tea Set was designed for the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum and the design reflects the museum’s architecture. The set incorporates the shapes of the gallery roof, atrium, and overhead view. It also uses the name as inspiration: Shan (mountain) is represented by a triangle, Yue (moon) is round, and a square represents the museum. Each of the three cups represents one of these shapes, which are also used in the design of the glaze. The ceramic set includes a tray, coasters, a snack plate, incense plate, and cups, all with a natural mineral glaze and a spray glaze for a frosted texture.
