Shapeshifter
Seismic Simulator
The Shapeshifter is a virtual reality experience system used to artificially simulate earthquake disasters, allowing people to train their emergency response in virtual reality. Shapeshifters use VR glasses and modular deformed plates to simulate seismic scenes. The joints between the folding plates of each module can be bent. The deformed plates can be shaken, bent, deformed, and these states can be used to simulate earthquake scenes. With the different bending angle of the deformed plate, the shape changes differently to simulate the damage scale for buildings when an earthquake occurs.
I feel very honored and excited. Thanks to the iF International Forum Design GmbH for providing me with such a good opportunity and platform. This award has greatly inspired me and my confidence. I will make persistent efforts. Thank you!
