Menstrual Health and Keeping Girls in School

Menstrual health is a critical aspect of women’s health, affecting not only physical well-being but also social, economic, and psychological factors. In rural African communities, menstrual health remains a challenging issue, with many women and girls facing a range of menstrual-related problems. These challenges include a lack of access to appropriate menstrual hygiene products, limited knowledge about menstrual hygiene management, and taboos and stigmas surrounding menstruation. S.H.E., we want to resolve this problem by increasing access to empowering educational workshops, and to affordable, sustainable, and reusable period products.
