Shimmer is a wearable device to assist blind people in mobile payment. It integrates an ink screen, scanning camera, braille buttons, and earphones. Mobile payment is very popular in Asia, but the current most common method of using a smartphone is not friendly to the blind as it requires screen reading software, which is cumbersome to operate and potentially exposes private data. The hidden camera makes the product more secure and close. The earphones allow the user to confirm the payment information, and the retractable design also makes the product more concise.
