SIHORU
Residential architecture
Sihoru (Korean for a beautiful memory) is a private house located in a small oceanfront village on Jeju island. The architects did not want the house to ruin the village atmosphere; rather the intent was to make the space appear to be settled naturally. The form is understated, with natural elements such as light, water, stone and shadows composed in detailed sensitivity by considering their colors and properties. Natural elements, interior and exterior, space and human communicate in a minimalist dynamic flow. Above all, the architects hope the time in Sihoru will be unforgettable.
