The new location of the Silesian Museum is one of the biggest museums in Poland. The entire structure of the Silesian Museum buildings is located on the territory of the former Katowice coal mine. The main part of the architectural structure is a seven-storey building, from which four floors are below the ground level. The complicated structure of the buildings required developing a sophisticated wayfinding design. It was followed by original pictograms and a series of visual graphics. During design process we limited ourselves to strict rules. We used limited graphical language (dark grey, white and green color) and original information carriers.
