Silicon

Precision infusion sleeve

Silicon is a semi-automatic precise infusion solution dosing system that uses a simple mechanical timer and flow rate valve to minimize medical negligence thanks to control of flow rate and time of drip medicine. It doesn't require electricity to replace expensive electronic automatic detection devices, helping resources deprived areas. Silicon replaces plastic with medical-grade silicone and tempered glass that can be recycled and sterilized for reuse to reduce waste. The inverted automatic dosing stand design can work with existing medicine bottles to improve the problem of needle insertion and reduce the need for medical staff during shift changes or busy periods.

JURY STATEMENT

The design is based on solid research. The operative process and its user experience are clear. Whether it can "reduce the need for medical staff during shift changes or busy periods" requires more evidence for validation.

WINNER STATEMENT

I am very grateful for the affirmation of the judges, and would also like to thank my teachers and team members. This award inspires me to help build a better world through design.
