SilicStep is an eco-friendly slipper innovation from Taiwan, using semiconductor waste recycling technology. Taiwan generates a large amount of silicon-containing waste annually. SilicStep transforms this waste into silica powder and combines it with EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) to create a new material that reduces plastic use by over 10%. This material is suitable for various EVA footwear, reducing both plastic use and carbon emissions. Compared to traditional EVA, SilicStep reduces carbon emissions by 61% and repurposes waste, offering an innovative solution for reducing plastic and carbon footprints.
