Silo Project

Supergraphic

Part of a national initiative, the Silo Project created large-scale murals on silos, funded through some $500,000 in investments. The project was in preparation for two years and executed over 100 days. The Silo Project has opened up communication with businesses and residents and is helping to change their negative view about aging industrial facilities. It has also succeeded in transforming Incheon Port and Jung-gu into tourist destinations. The project has greatly reduced conflict over old facilities by involving stakeholder management, agencies, silo-owned companies, designers and residents.
