Sista House

Multi-unit dwelling

2m2 architects

Sinsu-dong is a dangerous residential area in Seoul with many old houses. A young couple in their 30s wanted to build a rental residence here for women. The design aim of Sista House was to create a comfortable and sensuous living environment for young women in their 20s and 30s, with each apartment able to differentiate itself. The staircase was designed with rough exposed concrete walls and stone burner floor finishing, avoiding embellishment as much as possible and revealing the texture of the material itself.
