Road user charging

The design objective for the GNSS toll system was to charge for the motorway kilometers driven without slowing traffic down at toll collection gates. The meter is compactly designed and can be installed by the user on the windscreen. A bracket allows the meter to be installed and removed quickly and also protects the backup batteries against the sun's heat using a convective airflow. Operation is started by entering the number of axles for the respective lorry. A ring lights up in green to indicate that the meter is ready for use once satellite contact has been established.
