Slum2School Green Academy

A climate-smart school for underserved children

The Slum2School Green Academy is a first-of-its-kind climate-smart, innovative and community-centered school established to provide access to formal education and holistic development for children in underserved communities, with the pilot school located at Saga, a remote riverine community on the outskirts of Lagos, Nigeria, where for over 100 years there was no formal school or access to basic amenities. It is an integrated and replicable design that creates a holistic environment combining education, clean energy, water access, and community development within a single model.

JURY STATEMENT

A great and valuable initiative to provide future facing, educational amenities for an isolated community. It addresses cimate, education, water, energy and community development issues in one visionary project

WINNER STATEMENT

The iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE 2026 validates our belief that innovative, sustainable design can remove barriers to education. Beyond the funding, it strengthens our momentum to scale our impact, reach more underserved children, and build solutions that create lasting, systemic change. We are excited as we look forward to building better and stronger.
