The Sartorius Absorption Simulator allows the absorption behavior of organic drugs to be determined under in vitro conditions that correspond very closely to those prevailing in the gastrointestinal tract. The essential parts of this instrument are its artificial lipid barriers. The Sartorius Absorption Simulator is relatively small, compact and easy-to-use, and operates semi-automatically.
