Smart Cane: Multi-sensory navigator 2nd Generation
Multi-sensory device for the visually impaired
Huject
Smart Cane is a newly designed model that complements the usability of the winner of the previous IF 2023, and reflects the actual user experiences of visually impaired people in Korea. It is designed to use an ultrasonic sensor to focus on detecting obstacles on the upper body, which are difficult to prepare for with the White Cane used by people with visual impairments, and is characterized by allowing users to adjust the detection range to suit their situation. The mobile application linked to Smart Cane learns the user's emergency situations and guides them to safely pass through dangerous areas.
