Ergonomic tableware

Arthritis sufferers do not lack strength compared to healthy people. Rather, they are often limited by pain when interacting with objects. Snug is a tableware concept that applies the findings of both ergonomics and occupational therapy, meeting the needs of arthritis patients for a minimalist form. The design reduces necessary motions to a minimum while strain is evenly shared between involved joints. The modern stoneware materials are left partly unglazed in those areas that offer the best grip.

JURY STATEMENT

This is a very well-designed further development of ergonomic tableware, as well as a clever use of materials and texture to improve handling.

WINNER STATEMENT

I feel very honored to receive the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD, marking this my first design award ever. Such professional feedback has great value for me. Thank you so much!
