A social, sustainable and solidarity delivery
So.De - Social Delivery, born thanks to the civic crowdfunding of the city of Milan during pandemic, is the ethical delivery system by cargo bike: Social: It guarantees its couriers fair contracts, adequate training and the equipment to cross the city safely; It promotes work inclusion paths for refugees and fragile people; Sustainable: minimize the impact of deliveries on the environment; Solidarity: support local shops and activate recovering chains from supermarkets against food waste. From a B2B business model, So.De aims to become an aggregating platform between the demand for urban deliveries and the ethical companies that offer them
The project combines many themes and sets itself apart from existing delivery services by using sustainable means of transport such as bicycles or lorries for deliveries. So.De shows that an environmentally friendly delivery service and fair labour standards are feasible.
WINNER STATEMENTWinning the prize was a wonderful surprise that makes us feel like we are pedaling in the right direction and, despite the difficulties, makes us want to continue to do it better and better. This is why the prize will help us implement our solidarity activity on two wheels.
