Solar disinfection bag

The Sodis Bag is developed for third world countries and can be used by charity organisations in case of emergencies. Unfiltered and dirty water in the bag will convert into drinking water after the bag has been in the sun for over 6 hours. The heat of over 60°C and the UV-light will deactivate germs and bacteria. The Sodis Bag consists of one black and one transparent PU-film and is distributed in pairs. It can contain up to 20 litres, which supplies the need of five humans per day. When connected, the bags can be carried over ones shoulder. Also, the straps of the bags can be used as a handle to pour the water. That way the bags can be used like a water canister.
