SOKI ATAMI is a hot spring luxury hotel located in one of Japan's oldest hot spring retreats. This project aims to modernize the traditional Ryokan experience to be more relevant in modern times. The use of hot springs is deeply embedded in Japanese culture as a place where people can relax and recuperate and communicate and form bonds with others. SOKI ATAMI seeks to foster a deep connection with the local community by allowing guests to experience the region's unique local specialties and incorporating locally-sourced materials into the architecture.
