Soul Externalization
Illustration
Communication University of Zhejiang Tongxiang Research Institute Co., Ltd.This project explores “de-labeling” through computer vision and 3D modeling, examining self-identity and spiritual expression under social labeling. It focuses on eight categories—gender, age, culture, and mindset—to create eight illustrated “soul entities.” Displayed as posters, the series shows a computer’s “system error” when facing conflicting identities, symbolizing the diversity and ambiguity of the soul. Merging computer aesthetics, virtual ambience, and emotional typography, the design amplifies the abstract theme. It invites viewers to reflect on labels’ constraints and embrace freedom, individuality, and openness.
