Installation

Sound 01 “The kind of silence people only dream of” is the first of four works of the series “Sounds of Silence”. The experience of the multiple qualities of silence is made possible through audio-visual installations. The first installation works with the silent strength of the fragile. Out of white, bigsized, layered paper cut-outs an accessible clearing is designed. Fluorescent tubes with alternating colors create the moods associated with sunset to daybreak. The entire installation is accompanied by a sound collage of isolated bird calls. Presentation for Droog Design / furniture fair Milan 2006, Hangaram Design Museum / Seoul.
