Speech bubble font
Typeface
The speech bubble is a graphic convention most commonly used in manga books to present dialogues. Similarly, certain fonts are used to connote emotions. In creating the Speech Bubble font, the designers wanted to explore the connection between these two graphic elements. They borrowed the form from comic books to reformulate the structure of the Chinese alphabet and characters. Strokes are simplified into generic forms of speech bubbles while still following the direction of the original strokes to preserve the readability of the character.
