Air-driven Generator

When the speed of car reaches a certain degree, it can accelerate the surrounding airflow. This is a kind of wind energy that can be used, especially on the highway. Speeding traffic can generate a sustainable energy source. We have changed the guard railing in the middle of the highway into a spiral shape. When cars drive past at high speed, they will set into motion a rotating screw to generate electricity. The electricity is stored in a battery at the base of the guard and transformed into a stable voltage for export. The spiral air-driven generator can also capture natural wind.

JURY STATEMENT

A very sensitive use of wind energy in the roads, captured from either high-speed cars as well as from natural wind. Alternatives for energy generation should be of highest concern for society - and mainly for designers today.
