Sqr: Weaving Shapes. Sqr revitalises the technique of weaving. The woven carpet makes a discreet appearance only revealing how special it is with a second glance. Varying tufts make for fine effects. And the basis of it all is different threads. In the network of warp and weft, the pile thread is supreme. It creates the tone for the rhythm of the structure. Straight and kinky tufts complement each other to form an elegant floor covering. They move the art of weaving into the limelight combining tradition with innovation. Light and shade appear to be filtered through a grid. Because the varying structures of the tufts vary the light in their own special way. A natural effect which is convincing in its clear geometric grid. Stripes and squares in the alternating tuft pattern are the key to this design.
